PhD Sandwich Scholarship Program Call for Applications – Fall 2021

The Council for Higher Education’s Ph.D. Sandwich Scholarship Program aims to strengthen research in Israel and promoting international research relations between researchers in Israel and abroad. International doctoral researchers are invited to apply for a scholarship for up to one year (and for a minimum of 3 months), within the framework of their Ph.D. studies abroad. While the annual scholarship amount is 80,000 NIS, if a scholarship recipient is in Israel for less than one year, the scholarship amount will be determined based on the actual time spent studying in Israel.
For the upcoming academic year, 7 full-year scholarships (or the equivalent broken into shorter periods) will be available at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
The current call for applications is open for candidates who plan to arrive in Israel beginning in Fall 2021.
Interested researchers must submit the following documents:
- Candidate C.V.
- Candidate letter of motivation and project/research description
- Letter of support from HUJI researcher
