Postdoctoral Funding

Postdoctoral positions may be funded by a variety of sources. Most fellows are funded by research grants of the hosting faculty member. Other sources include local and international research grants as well as internal and foreign competitive fellowships. The various Post Doctoral Fellowships at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem are intended to enable the Fellows to devote themselves exclusively to their research with the purpose of reaching scientific and professional independence, which will be required later in their career.

University Fellowships:

The Hebrew University offers 40-50 Fellowships annually financed by university funds, the major ones being the Lady Davis Fellowship Trust and the Golda Meir Trust. The fellowships are offered for postdoctoral research in all academic areas pursued at the Hebrew University.
